How the Rich scale their Business
Two insights into how wealthy entrepreneurs take their business to the next level: knowing their limits and bringing in outside experts to find blind spots.
Many successful business owners reach the same point. The company is profitable, revenue is in the high six or low seven figures, and the owner has already outperformed most competitors. Then comes the question: what next? According to Stefan Neuss, founder of WERA Capital Partners, wealthy entrepreneurs answer this question in two distinct ways.
Insight one: they know their limits
Growing a business from one level to the next requires mastery of many areas at once: cash flow, taxes, marketing and sales, staff and, increasingly, AI tools that support human teams. Assets need protection, and above all the ownership structure must be right.
Neuss points out that many owners run companies in several countries, for example in the US, Germany and the UK, without an overall structure that connects them. Is there a clear group design? Is it part of an exit strategy? Is the tax position organised and optimised internationally?
Successful entrepreneurs accept that they cannot answer all of these questions alone. They put their ego aside and seek qualified advice. Neuss also warns against relying on AI chatbots for such decisions: running a group of companies today is far more complex than any prompt can capture.
Insight two: they bring in outside experts
The second step is to hire experts who look at the business from the outside. An external adviser can step back, analyse every area and identify blind spots that the owner, busy with daily operations, no longer sees.
Once a weakness is found, the expert proposes a specific and proven solution. Then the process moves on to the next area, and the next, until the business is improved across the board.
No rocket science
"It's not rocket science and it's not complicated," Neuss says. The difference between companies that stall and companies that scale is often simply the willingness to ask for help and to accept an honest outside view.
WERA Capital Partners offers such reviews to business owners. A 15-minute private consultation is the first step to identifying the blind spots in a company.
